The coasters will be part of the indoor Nickelodeon Universe theme park.
One, an intertwined Launched Euro-Fighter will boast the world record for the steepest roller coaster drop, while the other, a Spinning Coaster, will hold titles for the world’s tallest and longest free-spinning roller coaster, according to American Dream and Gerstlauer Amusement Rides.
"We have worked on many projects, but this will be unlike anything we have ever designed. Visitors to Nickelodeon Universe at American Dream are in for a great ride," said Siegfried Gerstlauer, managing director of Gerstlauer Amusement Rides.
The roughly 3 million square-foot American Dream complex is scheduled to open in 2019. It is also slated to feature 450 retail, food and specialty shops, as well as an indoor water park, snow and ski park, aquarium and ice rink.
